Silk Experience Dining- Empty plates and garnishes

Silk Experience is dining on a whole different level

More than just dinner, each Experience is a unique creation of artistic expression.

It starts with a theme, or philosphical idea- this will be the filter for all other aspects of the Experience, making each component an expression of the theme.

The style or culture of the cuisine is selected and weeks of research begins. Each course is created, an expression of theme and culture, and then placed consciously in the order of the menu. Each dish is steeped in traditional ideals, but is an expression not an approximation of cultural food. Each bite is created specifically for the Experience it is a part of.

It doesn't stop with the food, the Experience is sculpted to reflect the theme potentiallly using many mediums such as music, multimedia elements and interactivity.

What is the inspiration?

The inspiration for Silk comes from searching for cultural integrity, human connectivity and how food can transcend sustenance and provide nourishment for the mind, body and soul. The inspiration for each dinner will be unique, but aspects of that inspiration will be reflected in the environment, materials, presentation, facilitation and of course, the food. One muse for the flavors of the Silk dinners come from the Far East, but inspiration can be found everywhere in the global village for those with open eyes, hearts and palates.

How does it work?

The first step is to sign up. Once on the list you will receive invitations to the SIlk Experiences. Invitations allow you to reserve a table for as many people as you would like to bring, provided the space is available. Invitations will go out a couple of weeks prior to the dinner, and the first twenty people to confirm will be notified of their place at the Experience. The list of people who are invited grows because of you, so feel free to forward the invitations to your friends.

If I sign up am I guaranteed a seat?

The capacity for each event is twenty people, which makes it difficult to make any promises on seats. If you are on the list, you will get invited to a dinner but there can be no guarantees that you will have a seat. If you wish to attend, you must confirm after receiving the inviation; the earlier you confirm, the more likely it is that you will get a seat.
